MAS Compatibility Explorer
Which Manage industry solutions and add-ons run together, where each MAS operator can upgrade to, and which images change on the way. Every rule is read from IBM’s own operator catalog and the Manage admission webhook that accepts or rejects a workspace.
Industry solutions and add-ons
Pick a Manage release and tick the components a workspace activates. The verdict uses the rules Manage itself applies: components that cannot be activated together (BMXOO0012E), components already included in another (BMXOO0011E) and minimum versions when deployed together (BMXOO0016E). In Manage 9.2.4, Aviation cannot be combined with Civil Infrastructure, Maximo IT, Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Spatial or Utilities, and already includes Service Provider. The Oracle and SAP connectors cannot run together.
Rules change between releases
IBM has added and lifted these rules many times since Manage 8.6, so the answer depends on your exact Manage version. The page lists every change, release by release.
Upgrade paths
For every MAS operator (core, Manage, IoT, Monitor, Predict, Optimizer, Visual Inspection, Assist, Facilities, AI Service, Suite License Service and more) and any installed version, the page shows the versions OLM installs on each channel and the route to the newest one. MAS core 8.11 reaches 9.2 through 9.0 and 9.1; a channel cannot be skipped.
Image changes
Compare two operator versions to see which images changed, were added or were removed, and which need an IBM entitlement key to pull or mirror.
